* One of the most beneficial features of the PhaseID System is simple management of tagging reference phase. Origo manages tagging reference phase via configuration files. * Different voltages typically have different tagging reference phases due to the fact that there is normally a 30 degree phase shift between higher transmission voltages and lower distribution voltages (due to delta-wye step down transformers). The software allows the user to define and save the tagging reference phase in separate configuration files for different classes of voltage or for different service locations. * It is very simple to create a tagging reference phase configuration file with the PhaseID System. Simply collect the phase measurement on the conductor you wish to call phase A and enter it into the base station software. Then, click on “Auto Config”. The software will automatically determine the static phase offset required to display your phase A measurement as phase attribute A. Save this configuration file using a name that identifies the type or location of the service defined by this tagging reference phase. Examples are “69K”, “Pikes_Substation”, etc. * As manual phases are entered, the Phonetic Translator indicates the proper readback words. For example, if the field user called in this measurement sequence to the base station operator, the field user would say “the first sequence is Lima Lima one”. The base operator would repeat back the same information using the phonetic translator as a guide for the proper words. * The PhaseID System identifies all 12 phase attributes on secondary conductors. In this example, a 120V wall outlet on a residence indicates that the outlet is fed from the out-of-phase 120V conductor of a pole mounted delta transformer that was connected across primary phases B and C. * This vector diagram indicates the relationship of all 12 secondary phase attributes. * This is a screenshot of the Datalogger field PC software.
