This paper intends to start with the role of Taoism in the whole Chinese traditional culture, and briefly analyze its influence on Chinese traditional literature and art. The original texts of Taoism have a direct influence on the traditional literature and art, especially Lao Tzu and Chuang-tzu have always infiltrated literature and art, and sometimes even directly appear as literary trends. Later, in the development of Taoism, Taoism influenced the formation of other schools of thought, mainly Taoism, metaphysics and Chan Zongsan. The main features of metaphysics in the Wei and Jin Dynasties are the integration of Confucianism and Taoism and the interpretation of Confucianism by tao. It made a metaphysical poetry and landscape poetry, the literature focuses on the pursuit of natural beauty.
