The fourth chapter is learning motivation
Section 1 overview of learning motivation
First, the meaning and structure of learning motivation
(1) motives and functions
Motivation refers to the internal psychological process or internal motivation that causes and sustains individual activities and moves them toward a goal. It generally has the following three functions: first, the activation function. Two is pointing function. Three is to strengthen the function.
(two) learning motivation and its basic structure
Learning motivation refers to an internal process or an internal psychological state that stimulates an individual to learn, maintain, or cause a learning activity.
The two basic components of learning motivation are learning needs and learning expectations, which interact with each other to form a learning motivation system.
1. learning needs and drives
Learning need refers to the psychological state in which the individual feels lack in learning activities and strives to be satisfied. Its subjective experiential form is the learners learning desire or learning intention.
Ausubel believes that in the situation of the school achievement motivation consists of three aspects, the internal driving force, namely cognitive drive, ego enhancement drive and auxiliary drive.
2. learning expectations and incentives
Learning expectation is the subjective estimate of the individuals goal of learning activities.
An inducement is an external condition or stimulus that stimulates an organisms directional behavior and satisfies a certain need.
The learning expectation is static, while the motivation is dynamic, transforming the static expectation into the goal.
