Using the method of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were measured in 30 cases of acute cerebral injury within 24 h and 6 d serum glutamic acid, and the Glasgow coma score within 24 h (GCS) and 20 independent function d (FIM) evaluation of the value of correlation research. Results the level of serum GLU (24 h) was negatively correlated with the scores of GCS and FIM. The serum GLU concentration measured by 24 h was compared with 6 d serum GLU concentration, which was divided into the increasing group and the decreasing group. The average scores of FIM in the two groups after 20 d were significantly different (P0.01), and the concentration of GLU increased continuously, and the scores of FIM in the group was much lower than that in the group with lower GLU concentration. Conclusion the level of serum GLU in patients with traumatic brain injury can affect the secondary injury degree of brain tissue and influence the recovery of function.
