英语口语教学应注意的几个问题 Abstract Why we study foreign languages? Obviously, it is in order to carry on communication. What is the most important way of communication? Undoubtedly, it is speaking. Traditionally, we pay much more attention to the cultivation of writing ability, but at the same time we neglect the importance and necessary of speaking ability. As a result, our students always have great difficulty in communicating face to face with foreigners. Recently, with the carrying out of the open-door policy, we have more activities to exchange with foreigners in various aspects. Whether we can communicate with them directly and effectively has become the key issue to the success of these activities. Now an increasing number of educators and students have come to realize the urgency of the improvement of spoken language education. However, for the limited time and chance of speaking practice, the lack of practical and systematic materials and the unsuitable education methods, “How to improve our students’ spoken language ability” is still a difficult subject. In this paper, the writer referred to a lot of materials and made much investigation. Then he presents us some concrete and systematic rules and methods of spoken language education and eagerly hopes that these would be helpful for educational practice of spoken language. Key words: spoken language, communicative ability, teaching method, context understanding 导言 近年来，随着对外交往活动的蓬勃发展，实际部门对大学毕业生的外语能力要求越来越高，作为语言的重要功能——说的能力在对外交流活动中已成为第一需要。而由于我国大多数外语学习者是在非外语环境中学习外语的，说的时间少，实践机会有限，现代化教学条件不很完善，再加上他们不熟悉所听的语言材料及有关文化背景、生活习俗等，从而严重影响了学习的说的能力的提高。因此，如何改进和加强英语口语能力的教学越来越为人们所关注，并成为当前英语教学的一个重要课题。本文旨在对改善口语教学法做一粗浅探讨。 口语概说 关于口语 口语（spoken language）又称“口头语”，是人们在口语交际中使用的语言，也是人们进行交际的最基本的方式。口语的基本形式是说话。从目前通行的规范程度看，口语又分做标准口语和非标准口语。标准口语是具有明显的规范性，在使用上具有较大的通用性。非标准口语则指方言、俗语等，特点是规范性差，通用性窄。口语对语言外情景有相当大的依赖性，而且几乎总是伴随有面部表情和手势等非语言交际手段。 关于口语教学的两个概念 英语口语教学中要区分两个不同的概念：一是培养学生的口语表达能力；另一个是教学生用口语（而非书面语）进行会话。这两项工作可统称为口语教学，但工作的内容和性质各不相同。我认为，这两项工作中，前者即培养学生的口语表达能力是主要的，
