The highest average score in the world was picked by German candidates, 7.24 points. In fact, the scores of Qatar candidates are worth our reflection: their scores in listening, reading and writing are all below 5 except for oral English, and only 5.26 for oral english. The other parts of the Chinese students are divided into 5.50 listening points, reading 5.70 points, writing 5.12 points. The interesting thing is that speaking and writing are significantly lower than reading and listening.
If we must use a sentence to describe English spoken to Chinese students, Im afraid it should be chest pain forever.. All along, Chinas English teaching is always groping forward, looking for a glimmer of hope to solve the problem of Chinese childrens spoken english. It seems that since the introduction of English classes in Chinese school classrooms, spoken English has always been a cloud in our minds.
