2. Prepare more legends of the English version.
IV.教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in
T: Good morning, boys and girls. Do you like legends and stories?
T: How many legends and stories do you know? And what are they?
T: OK. Let’s look at these pictures.
T: Well done. In this unit, we will learn how to tell stories. Please open your textbook.
Step 2. Presentation
Read these words of 1a by yourself.
Check the pronunciation.
Match the story titles with the picture [a-d].
Check the answers together.
(The following is a conversation between Anna and Wang Ming. You need to listen carefully to get the main idea and check the facts as you hear.)
Play the tape twice for students to listen.
Tell them the details of the story in the tape. And then choose Ss to tell others what he remembers.
Step 3 Teaching
Teach Activity 2a-2b.
(Now, we’ll do a listening practice. First, have a look at the four pictures. What can you see in the pictures? What are they doing? )
Listen and number the pictures [1-4] in order to tell the story.
Listen again and circle the words you hear.
Play it one more time to check the answers.
Ask some students to read their sentences.

Give students several minutes to preview this conversation.
