Unit 6 Sunshine for all 教案
教学目标:
读懂文章,了解有关特奥会的知识和志愿者的经历。
学习并能运用与运动、比赛相关的词汇。
培养学生积极参加社会公益活动,尽自己所能帮助他人的意识。
教学重点:
词汇:expect, chance, similar, necessary, training, task, coach, gold, silver, background, closely, achieve, prize
词组:the most amazing experience of his life, work as a volunteer, similar to, give up their spare time, receive training, provide support for the athletes, make the event a great success, swimming coach, finish fourth, bring people together, from different background
教学难点:
句型:
It’s fantastic to work as a volunteer!
They include many events similar to those in the Olympics, such as basketball, football and swimming.
It was necessary for these volunteers to receive training before doing the tasks.
教学教具:
关于2007年上海特奥会的图片。
配套磁带或者光盘。
教学过程:
Step 1 导入:
复习前一节课所学的弱势群体的名称以及帮助他们的途径,然后过渡到新课,教师说: Those deaf people, blind people and disabled people need our help. They have physical disabilities. Another group of people need our help too. They have intellectual disabilities. 板书 intellectual disabilities,并向学生解释其中文释义为“智障”
在听完部分学生的想法后,教师说:Besides what you’ve mentioned, there’s another way to help them. We can volunteer for the Special Olympics World Games.引出本板块的主题。教师板书 the Special Olympic World Games, 问学生:The Special Olympic Games are different from other events, have you heard of this event? Can you tell me something about it? 如果学生对特奥会不了解,教师可以简单介绍。然后教师板书并且带读生词:athlete, adult, chance.教师接着问: If you are a volunteer, what will you do for the games?
Step 2 呈现:
教师呈现2007年上海特奥会的比赛图片,对学生说:Look at the pictures carefully and answer my questions.让学生回答以下问题:
What events are included in the Special Olympic World Games?
What do you think of the athletes?
鼓励学生大胆回答,在问答中教师导入生词,如:Yes, some events are similar to those in the Olympics. Those athletes are confident an d they achieve their dreams.通过一系列的问题,呈现生词和词组,如:similar to, confident, achieve等。教师板书生词并带读。
Step 3 阅读:
教师说: Today we will read a report on the experience of a volunteer.让学生快速阅读课文,并回答下列问题:
