The following tables show the frequency of clauses, content words, and lexical density for the four samples in this study. The first hypothesis was that there is no significant difference between sample 1 and sample 2 in relation to lexical density (parallel corpora). Based on the statistics in Table 1 below, this hypothesis is rejected as the statistical difference between the two means is significant, i.e. (t=3.207, p .012). In other words, we have a significantly higher lexical density mean, i.e. 7.75 per ranking clause for sample 1 as compared to sample 2, i.e. 6.61 lexical density mean per ranking clause.
