Introductory remarks: The author presents readers with his own language learning experiences at different stages, at which the author met different teachers and consequently formed different attitudes towards English learning.
II Structure Analysis
The passage is made up of 8 paragraphs, and, according to the pattern “general-specific-general” the author mainly employs in his writing, it can be roughly divided into three parts.
Part One: The author states his topic of the whole passage in 1st paragraph through the paraphrase of the two key words.(difficult; rewarding)
Part Two: The author develops the 1st part by employing the devices of time and space and comparison contrast.
Part Three: The author makes a conclusion of his special experience by employing the device of induction.(归纳法) (deduction演绎法 para,5-7)
