Abstract : Head w arp ng s very common dur ng plate roll ng. Analyz ng t he plat e roll ng process ,
the problem of how the temperature d fference betw een the top and bot tom surface of a plate
w orkp ece and t he d ameter rat o of upper roll t o low er roll af ter the head w arp ng of w orkp ece s
nvest gated. A model s developed reveal ng t he relat onsh p betw een the curvature of head
w arp ng, t he d ameter rat o of upper roll t o low er roll and t emperat ure d f ference betw een top and
bott om surf aces of workp ece. Accord ng to roll ng parameters, the model can be used t o pred ct
the w arp ng curvat ure, thus prov d ng t heoret cally reference for proper roll match ng. In
add t on , a measur ng method s proposed for head w arp ng curvature by CCD camera.
