(2)Key structures: What are you supposed to do when you meet someone ? You are supposed to kiss/bow/shake hands.
You are not supposed to shake hands.
You should have asked what you were supposed to wear.

Use be supposed to do to learn the customs in different countries.

Learn custom culture and enjoy it.

Step 1. Experience
Greet the class and check the homework.
Look at the pictures. Let the students talk. what are they doing? When did they do this?
Let students finish 1a.
Step 2. Group work
Let students practice 1a in pairs(Use the pictures).
What are you supposed to do when you meet someone for the first time in Japan?
You are supposed to bow.
2.Play the tape and do 1b,then check the answers each other.
3. Practice 1b in groups. Finish 1c
Step 3. Explanation and consolidation
There are some customs in the country. If you know it, you can make yourself feel at home. If not, you can make some mistakes.
Listen to the tape, do 2a,2b.
Practice 2c.
