Greetings Begin by greeting the class with a smile and good morning! 2.Self-introduction ? Now，’ll introduce ,myself. I’m your new English teacher, Miss Luo. Step 2 Lead –in Sing the song Good morning Say: Now, we are going to learn 8 letters. We should read and write them. Step 3 Presentation 1. Learn to make greetings Activity 1a: (1) Ask the Ss to look at the picture and read the conversations after the teacher. (2) Ask the Ss to know the people in the picture and then write down their names on the lines. (3) Check the answers Activity lb: Play the tape the first time and the Ss listen only, then play again and ask them to repeat. Activity lc: Ask the students to practice the conversations in the picture in pairs. Encourage them to greet each other like the sample conversation. 2. Learn letters Aa- Hh Activity 2a: Show the 8 letters to Ss , then play the tape and ask them to repeat.
