災難奇觀： 九二一地震報導影像分析( 1999-2009 ) 摘要 本文聚焦1999-2009年間的921地震報導影像，分析九二一地震至今十年的災難 報導影像，發現距離災難事件發生時間遠近，影響新聞論述主題產生變化，並且 因為科技進步，災難報導的影像也越即時越真實，甚而新聞報導融入災難事件之 中，成為災難奇觀的一部份。本文認為討論「災難奇觀」 ，首先必須要先從事件 理論、媒體儀式與影像的本體論出發，去探究災難作為事件才可是奇觀，以及因 為媒體報導，所以災難事件成為災難奇觀。時間在此也發揮作用，伴隨即時與歷 時作用於影像，才成就災難之奇。最後，本研究提出因為災難事件化為符號，成 為神話，所以進入歷史的永恆中被集體記憶。並依此提出災難奇觀的建構，需要 經過災難、事件、媒體儀式、神話、歷史五個階段，最後以符號學與互文分析九 二一地震影像，依據奇觀建構與時間元素，歸納出「即時真實vs.片刻寫實」、「死 亡與重生的拔河」與「九二一變奏曲」三個影像範疇。 關鍵詞：災難奇觀、九二一集集大地震 、影像分析、事件、媒體儀式 1 Disaster-scape: Image Analysis of 921 Earthquake Report from 1999-2009 Abstract This paper focuses on the 921 Earthquake report image from 1999 to 2009 so as to analyze the ten-year disaster report images since 921 Earthquake. One found that the time distance from the occurrence of disaster events would influence the news discussion subject to change. Because of technological advancement, the images of disaster reports are more and more instantaneous and real; the news reports even blended with the disaster events and became a part of disaster spectacle . This paper believes that in order to discuss “disaster-scape”, one should start from the event theories, media rituals, and image ontology first so as to discuss the fact that a disaster could only become a wonder when it is considered as an incident; and also, because of the report from mass media, the disaster events becomes disaster-scape.
