On that day, Buddhist temples will hold the fast（举行斋戒), chant sutras (诵经) and use different kinds of perfume to wash the Buddha Buddhist Lent Day Time: From August 16th to November 15th about 4 months During this period, Buddhists have to purify their thoughts, accumulate merits and stop the behaviors like drinking, gambling and slaughter Notional Day Thai food There are 4 major cuisines(泰北菜，泰中北菜，泰中菜，泰南菜) Thai food is famous for its color, aroma and taste. The main flavors are sour and piquancy. People always add fish sauce（鱼露） and MSG(味精) into dishes. They don’t put soy sauce and sugar into food.
