Abstract: T iO2 films doped w ith Y and Ho ions w ere prepared w ith sol-gel method. X-ray diffrac-
tion analysis show ed that the films crystallized w ell w ith anatase crystalline. AFM analysis show ed
the films had nanocrystallines. UV-Vis absorption analysis of the films indicated that the films doped
w ith Y3+ and Ho3+ ions had higher absorbance in U V district, and the films had a red-shift of absorp-

tion edge in visible district, the films doped w ith Y ion had higher absorbance than the films doped
w ith Ho3+ ion w ith the same ion concentration.
