[Welcome participants and introduce yourself] Today we’re going to talk about the Performance Feedback Tool, the tool we will use to evaluate our employees progress in achieving objectives and competencies, as well as career planning and development opportunities of our Performance Management Process. [Optional comment: This tool looks very similar to the process we’ve already been using; however, we have streamlined the form to make it easier to complete, and have developed a standard process that all employees around the world will use.] Performance Management is a cornerstone of our success. It helps managers focus employee effort on areas that contribute to the company’s overall success. It provides ample feedback to employees about their performance, strengths and development needs. Overall, the goal of the tool is to provide feedback and foster improved performance and employee fulfillment. But it’s important to note that this is just a tool that facilitates communication about performance. The bottom line depends on the quality of the communication between the supervisor and employee. It is important that everything I show to you today is clear and does not cause any further confusion, so, please ask me questions as we go.
