Reading Skills Guessing at Words What do you do when you meet some words you don’t know when reading? 1.Synonym Context Clues Synonyms are words that have the same or nearly the same meaning. For example, the words big and large are synonyms because they have similar meaning. Ex. Among the three words in each of the following exercises two are synonyms.
