1. 检查生词预习
1) 正音;齐读本课单词,让学生自己指出发音有误的单词,由教师集体正音,并领读。
2) 听写:让学生以小组为单位互相批改,小组长汇报听写情况。对听写全对者提出表扬,对出错较多的词在黑板上提出集体更正,并告诉学生要根据发音和构词法记单词。
2. 自由交谈
1) How many different kinds of letters can you think of? Discuss this with a partner.
2) How is a letter different from an article? List three differences.

1. 速读。
教师检查预读情况,提出问题让学生带问题速读。
Read the passage quickly and do the following.
1) What has “Lucky” done for Liz?
2) What normal things can’t Liz do?
2. 细读。
Read the passage carefully and find three examples of phrasal verbs from the reading. Use them to make sentences of your own.

e.g. I’ll cheer our football team up in the next match.
run out of 用光,耗尽
e.g. I am afraid we’ve run out of petrol.
让学生边读边划出重要短语,并让学生写下来并以小组形式讨论生词及短语的意思。
3. 朗读; 跟读。
1) Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat.(感知语音,语调,正音)
2)Let the students read again more carefully and find some important points in groups.
