The author studied the related literature about the study of cognitive load in the multimedia learning environment, which is based on the research of cognitive load and the related research results of cognitive load. On this basis, we put forward the future research directions and trends in order to explore the future of cognitive load in multimedia learning; to give multi-media learning researchers much thinking and inspiration.
