Analyze the content of this unit:
This unit is concerned with teaching students about what makes a great person. It only considers male heroes because there is a later unit in NSEC on female role models. But it should be remembered that everything that is said in this unit applies to women as well as men. After studying, it is hoped that the students will be able to see the differences between a famous person and a great one.
Analyze the students’ learning ability:
Students are interested in some famous great men and women and they would like to know more stories about them, Nelson Mandela included. Elias’ Story, which is not very difficult to understand for students, is actually a story introducing some good qualities of Nelson Mandela. 2. Teaching Goals 1 Language Goals
