However, others hold extensive reading is better. They maintain that extensive reading can extend their range of knowledge and broaden their outlook. Firstly, without selection, reading may become aimless and blind, which makes reading inefficient. Secondly, books of low quality may do harm the youths (who are lack of enough ability to tell the truth from the false). Finally, selective reading can make us read with efficiency and save our time.
