It implies the absence of infirmity or disease, but their absence does not mean health. Earning and maintaining health is an active process. Good health is a result of proper nutrition, regular exercise, health care and hygiene. One of the most important factors determining the mental health of an individual is his/her happiness quotient. Hence, effective stress management forms a vital factor in remaining healthy. What should we do to keep healthy in our daily life? Firstly, try to be less materialistic and keep your life simple. It is really unnecessary to keep up with the joneses. Why do you buy a car if you can avail of public transport? Secondly, to be healthy also includes being mentally healthy. It’s another important guaranty for people to live or work well. Control your mind. What you think and how you think affect your general well-being. Refuse to entertain negative or self-derogatory thoughts and emotions. Thirdly, exercise regularly. Go for a short run every morning and exercise your eyes regularly, especially if you spend a lot of time in front of the computer. If you have to run errands around the neighborhood, walk or cycle around. Walk up stairways instead of taking the lift.
