So what helps us remember the good moments and the bad ones? The answer is a mixture of personality, gender(性别) and the someone uses to make sense of their feelings. However, the way men and women try to deal with bad memories is quite . For men, to remain optimistic so as to think about a bad memory can lead to recall more pleasant memories, but suppressing(抑制) the bad memories brings neither memories nor bad ones. For women, the bad memories usually brings an even lower mood than before, which means that women are more likely to suffer from depression than men.
