Also it’s easy to be find that everyone has his special characters, or ugly, or upright, or persistent, or compromise. At the end of the first World War, the second industrial revolution had just finished. As a victorious nation, America has surpassed the United Kingdom to become the worlds first great power. Cars, electric light and telephones are convenient for peoples lives. People dont think they will fight any more,and its time to have fun. They began to give up the moral standard of the system.They believe in money worship, hedonism. The cost of the economic prosperity is a society which is full of moral?degradation. And the story of The great Gatsby took place in this period. The story primarily concerns the young and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his quixotic passion for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan. The whole word of the novel explores themes of decadence ,idealism ,resistance to change social upheaval that has been described as a cautionary tale regarding the America Dream.
