There are four parts in this paper. In the first part, the article gives a general introduction to humor. And then the author presents what make the differences between Chinese and English humor from historical background, religious belief, living environment and the mode of thinking. In this part, many vivid examples will be given. In the third part, the transformation model of humor will be showed to readers. Last part comes to a conclusion in which will show that not only should we know the humor in English, but increase our knowledge about cultural connotation, which can help us to implement the intercultural communication successfully.
