Xia Pin（下聘） Before the couple are married, the grooms family carries wedding gifts in red baskets and boxes to the brides house  After saying goodbye to the bride’s parents ,the bride should get into a sedan chair like this …and there will be some happy music .Then these people will escort the bride to the groom. In front of the groom’s house ,they will stop . Then , a child with an orange in her hand will come . The bride should touch the orange ,which can bring longevity . After that , a blissful （有福气的）old person will come to help the bride cross a brazier（火盆） ,which means that inauspicious（不吉祥的） things will be driven out . Then, the bride should cross the threshold （跨火盆），but her feet can not touch it. Perform the formal wedding ceremony（拜堂） The bride would be led along the red carpet in a festive atmosphere. The bridegroom, also in a red gown, would kowtow three times to worship the heaven, parents and spouse. Then the new couple would go to their bridal chamber and guests would be treated to a feast. Party(婚宴） Bridal chamber（洞房） Tea ceremony（奉茶） A day after the wedding ceremony , the bride has to serve tea to the bridegroom’s parents and elder in the morning. It is called the tea ceremony. The couple kneel down in front of the bridegroom’s parents and serve them each a cup of the tea. W：“Dad ,please have the tea” D : “ Thank you ,good kid!” W: “Mom ,please have the tea” M：“ Thank you ,good kid!” After parents drinking the tea, they will give the bride a red paper containing money as a gift and bless the couple . “Hope you two have a happy life and enjoy yourself in the marriage ” Drinking tea contains everyone’s hope and bless to the new couple .
