The existent circumstance of the intangible heritages of ancient town, however, is still ignored and the protection work on the intangible heritages of the ancient town is also confronted with many problems in China, including the lack of whole protection consciousness, inadequate protecting strength, imperfect related system, insufficient fund devotion, severe waste of resources, and so on. The paper, first, describes the composition, characteristics, important value and currently dangerous situation about the intangible heritages in China.
