By using optical p rinciple together with the definition p rinciple in ISO 9039 : 1994 “Optics and optical inst ruments ———Qualit y evaluation of optical systems ———De termination of distortion”, with definition ofdistortion determined by clinical requirement oftheoretical distortion , t he distortionconversion formula of different sphere Z shapes is deduced by main ray t race p rinciple . The medical rigid endoscope distortion definition and exp ression which are exp ressed as unit relative distortion , and distortion conversion formula and testing method of conversion of view field surface , are all established.
