The urban and ru ral integration of Chengdu region is better than that of Chongqing region, the overall urban and ru ral developm ent of Chengdu region show s the agglom eration statu s and its radiation ro le to its p eriphery region is increa sing, however, the fast develop ing region of Chongqing is at the p eriod of acceleration of urban and ru ral in tegration.
