Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hangzhou already tried to run digital TV. But their models were add a Set Top Box in front of current analog TV to receive digital singal. This projecto in integrate digital sink into TV system become a complete TV. Today is digital age, the key of competion is who can establish a unify standard. If you cann’t establish it in time, you will lost this part of market. China had spent two years on discussed about which need be first developed satellite transmission or cable. At last decision is cable transmission first according to the situation of a country. And descramble system adpot DVB-CI of Europe. With HDTV ‘s appearance, Condition Access technology will be used to. So discerption of TV and card will give CI technology a good chance that it is builded into TV. The controller system of discerption of TV and card was provided by SCM, SONY and ATMEL. But their compatibility is very low. So we choiced Aletra’s FPGA as it controller.
