The results show that the per capita income, non-farm employment opportunities and policy factors have a significant negative impact on hog production index. The accessibility of transportation, technological progress, path dependence and animal husbandry development have a significant positive impact on the pig production index, while the resource endowments and consumer market potential has no obvious impact. Meanwhile, corresponding suggestions are put forward according to the analysis results.
