摘要
1926年至1949年这二十三年是中国历史上的重大年代，新记《大
公报》见证并记录了这段历史。创刊于1902年的《大公报》“是中国
新闻史上寿命最长、影响最大，声誉最隆的一家报纸。”新记公司时
期的《大公报》发展迅速、成就卓著。图像是历史的遗留，同时也记
录了历史，是解读历史的重要证据。选取新记《大公报》新闻图像作
为研究对象，以“史’’为据，论述其新闻图像传播特点及传播内容，
是对《大公报》研究的一个补充，而且可以形象地了解这段时期的人
民生活和文化，既有历史意义，也有现实意义。
新记《大公报》在美化版面方面，采用了日本报纸的观点——“空
白就是美’’和“一画值万字，由于继承了文人论政的传统，注重政
治经济等硬性新闻，在新闻图像使用上“惜图如金”。新记《大公报》
中出现的新闻图像，在类型上，包括新闻照片、新闻图示、新闻漫画
和新闻速写；在内容上，关注国计民生，涉及灾难、体育、政治动向
和战事等多个方面。虽然具有充分的技术条件，作为当时全国著名的
大报，新记《大公报》并没有穿插大量图像以吸引读者注意，而是凭
借深刻的思想和丰富的信息赢得大众的信赖，其图像新闻和图文新闻
中出现的图像不过是为了更好地传播信息或者观点。
