The Background of GBIA • Terminal I of GBIA contains a 350,000 ㎡, • Designed capacity of 25,000,000 annual passengers, 1,000,000 tones cargo per year on/before 2010. • Two runways and a standard of 4F, meeting the criterion of A380’s take off and landing. • Future five runways, 360,000 flights on take off/landing, annual passengers 80,000,000. 1. The Background of GBIA －Fast Growth • One night switched off on August 5th 2004 • 26.32 million passengers in the year of 2005 。 • Mile stone breakthrough to 30 million passengers in the year of 2007 • At 17.8% growth rate on annual passengers • FEDEX Asia Hub at GBIA and the Expansion on Terminal one ( 150,000 ㎡) will be fully on production In the year end of 2008 2.
