A Useful Method of Building the Heat Transfer
Coefficient Model in Steel Cooling Process

Abstract: Based on a mount of act ual data and heat t ransfer mechanism, a heat t ransfer coefficient model was devel
oped. T o obtain t he quenching process data, the cooling process of steel was simulated by the ANSYS finite element
software. T he model parameters w ere calculated through the nonlinear regression algorithm. T hus, the formula of
heat transfer coefficient for the quenching process w as obtained. Through t he new method, the problem of heat
transfer coefficient could be solved w ithout middle data of quenching process.
