Freedom 英语1211

In China, many people think they don’t have the freedom of speech. Actually, the freedom of speech doesn’t mean people can say what they want. The freedom is relative in China and also in any other countries. No one can get the absolute freedom. In other words, the freedom of speech is tied with the law and morality. In contemporary society, on the one hand, we should avoid freedom which deprives the individual rights of speech and actions in the name of collective freedom. This kind of freedom may make those who lack of independent thinking give up their individual rights. On the other hand, individual freedom which weakens the society in aspects such as society stability and legal system should also be forbidden. If this kind of freedom becomes prevailing, the world will be in a mess. Thank you! MICHAEL S. MOORE Freedom 英语1211 The Author Charles R.
