M e thods In line w ith the concept of fast tract surgery ( FTS) , a new perioperative nutritional sched ule w asmade for patients prior to radical gastrectomy, ehich included preoperative nutritional risk screen and prophylactic enteral nutrition, early postoperative light enteral nutrition, early ambulation and perioperative nursing care. Patients w ith gastric cancer were random ly assigned into fast track group or a smi ple control group. New perioperative schedule was executed in the patients of fast track group and traditional nutrition support in control group. A fter operation, serum albumen w as measured to evaluate the patient s nutritional state and serum IgA to evaluate gastrointestinal mi mune function.
