The second reading describes some historical sites in London while the listening gives some information on London’s most popular tourist site: the Tower of London. The aim of this period is to learn the first reading PUZZLES IN GEOGRAPHY. This reading passage consists of three parts: first, how the UK come into being? Second, England is divided into three zones. And the third is about the cultural importance of London. Besides, some important words and phrases, such as clarify, accomplish, break away, to one’s credit etc. are used in this passage. Moreover, the grammar structure of this passage is the usage of the past participle as the object complement.
