Our clients include fund managers, investment platform operators and administrators, financial planning dealer groups, superannuation providers and insurance companies and intermediaries. We appreciate the opportunity to provide comments on the Exposure Draft of the Third Package of Regulations (Draft Regulations) in relation to the Corporations Amendment (Future of Financial Advice) Bill 2012 and the Corporations Amendment (Further Future of Financial Advice Measures) Bill 2012. Our submission focuses on one aspect of the Draft Regulations – the proposed stamping fee exemption in draft regulations 7.7A.4.12(4) and (5). We have clients who are very concerned about the narrow scope of the stamping fees exemption in the Draft Regulations and the implications for the efficiency and transparency of Australias capital markets and in particular for the cost and availability of finance for infrastructure and property developments. 1.
