Albuquerque,NM(Vocus)August27,2010--SantaFeGoldCorporation(OTCBB:SFEG)ispleasedto announceithascontractedwithASARCOLLC(Asarco)tosupplyatrialshipmentof1,000tonsofsiliceous fluxmaterialtoAsarcosHaydensmelterinHayden,Arizona.Thefluxmaterialwillbeprocessedforprecious metalsrecovery.SantaFewillbepaidforthecontainedsilverandgoldlesscustomarycharges.Thesiliceous fluxconstitutesabeneficiatedproductoforefromtheSummitmineupgradedinsilicaandpreciousmetals contentsthroughcrushingandscreening. ThisinitialtrialofsiliceousfluxtoAsarcosHaydensmelter,togetherwithasimilartrialconductedearlierthis yearwithFreeport-McMoRanMiamissmelter,isexpectedtoleadtolongtermcontracts,saidPierceCarson, PresidentandChiefExecutiveOfficer.FluxsalespotentiallycouldbequitesignificanttoSantaFeandcould accountforasubstantialportionoforeminedatSummit. SmelterfluxsalesaddanotherdimensiontoouroptionsforprocessingofSummitoreandtoourstrategyof expandingourproductionprofileintheLordsburgarea.Oresoldassmelterfluxdoesnothavetobemilledand thereforefreesadditionalcapacityatourLordsburgmill. SantaFesLordsburgmillisproducingahighvaluegoldandsilverconcentrate.Thecompanyhasbeenin negotiationswithsmeltersforsaleoftheconcentrateandexpectstobeginshipmentsshortly.Thecompany planstorampupproductionfromtheSummitmineto120,000tonsperannumoverthenexttwoquarters.At fullproduction,revenuesareprojectedtoexceed$25millionannually,assumingmetalpricesof$1000per ounceforgoldand$16.67perounceforsilver.Operatingcostsareprojectedtobelessthan$350perounceof goldequivalentproduced.
