Chinese urban vehicles dramatic growth in the tense situation of urban land-road parking is difficult to meet the needs of the static traffic, so curb parking has become widely used by urban traffic managers a parking mode. With the development of parking in the road, however, block the phenomenon of road traffic flow is becoming increasingly apparent, but also lead to the occurrence of some insecurity. Therefore, we must not laissez-faire free development of parking in the road parking to the right path within set conditions and methods to optimize the design to minimize the negative impact of curb parking in order to achieve the full and rational use of road space to improve the road traffic order. This article illustrates several common examples of curb parking mode, to separate the traffic efficiency of the mixed road traffic, Vehicle’s acceleration and deceleration delay and with the relaxation delay, learns the friction effect and block effect of curb parking. These jobs combined with investigation concludes, summed up design principles and methods, Setting conditions and basis. According to these above studies, give out the curb parking (in Beijing, for example) principles of optimize design.
