Development and Application of Geopolymer Technology : A Review

Geopolymer, similar to natural zeolite minerals,
is a class of three-dimensionally networked alumino-
silicate materials. Due to its superior mechanical and
p hysical properties, such as non-combustible, heat-
resistant, fire/acid resistant, easy to make it, and formed
at low temperatures, geopolymer have been gradually
attracting world attention as potentially revolutionary
green materials. In this paper, a brief review is given
of geopolymer fundamentals, structures, structure
analysis methods, reaction mechanism, applications
and domestic current development . It hop es that
more research groups can be j oined to geopolymers
investigation and applications.
