And most of all, customers can utilize it around the clock, and around the world! * Data Protector的备份域概念称为Cell，一个Cell由如下基本组件组成：备份服务器（Cell Manager）、介质代理（Media Agent－MA，或称Drive Server）、磁盘代理（Disk Agent）；其中磁盘代理又可分为备份代理（Backup Agent）和应用代理（Application Agent）。 Cell Manager：它的功能是管理整个备份域，控制备份和恢复任务。它使用IDB（Internal Database内部数据库）存储备份周期信息、Media ID、备份任务ID等等。 Disk Agent（DA）：相当于备份客户端（Backup Agent），安装在所有需要进行数据备份的计算机上。如果需要在线备份数据库系统，需要安装使用应用代理（Application Agent）。 Media Agent（MA）：负责管理磁带库、磁带机等备份设备，也称为Drive Server。Media Agent向Disk Agent发送和接收数据，然后读写备份设备。 * * * The Cell Manager is the main system that manages the cell from a central point. It contains the Data Protector internal database (IDB) and runs core Data Protector software and session managers. A cell consists of one Cell Manager and usually many clients. A computer system becomes a Data Protector client as soon as you install one of the Data Protector software components on it. The client components installed on a system depend on the role of that system in your backup environment. The Data Protector components can be installed either locally on a single system, or distributed among many systems from Installation Servers. Clie
