The goal for WS-GAF is to describe a framework for building Grid applications that adheres to the principles of service-oriented architectures and utilises existing Web Services technologies. The proposed solution addresses issues including stateful interactions, logical resource naming, metadata, and lifetime management. Introduction Until recently discussions on middleware for Grid computing have inevitably focussed on the Open Grid Services Infrastructure (OGSI) v1.0 specification [1] which defines fundamental concepts
