Job Summary: To ensure smooth and efficient operation of banquets. Operate the outlet as a business unit as per the standards, procedures and practice managerial principles, in order to achieve departmental goals, in terms of Guest Satisfaction, financial targets, training and high employee morale. Food Beverage Department Manage Banquets Co-ordinate the day to day operations of the Banquet floor to obtain maximum profit and maximum guest satisfaction Greet function organisers on arrival and ensure that their requests are dealt with in a timely manner Ensure the details on the event order are delivered in full Follow up problems which may arise from event orders and room allocations and rectify as soon as possible Maintain master file of banquet functions Supervise VIP functions as required Oversee all service and banquet set-ups Oversee all service and meeting room set-ups Oversee all service and cocktail party set-ups Ensure rooms, quality of food and final set up are inspected regularly in accordance with all Westin brand standard meeting requirements i:e Clutter free meeting set up and Banqueting Concierge Ensure all equipment requests are fulfilled Oversee and manage the audio visual equipment in conjunction with the AV technicians Co-ordinate with banquet sales on all relevant issues Keep good relationships with conference organizers Develop Standards Procedures, in keeping with the hotel policies and procedures Ensure all the staff carry out the tasks according to the SP The incumbent will initiate systems and procedures to meet and exceed guest’s expectations Manage the maintenance of equipment Monitor standards of guest facilities and services Control stock and monitor stock se
