An offer is promise of the seller (offerer 发盘人) to supply goods on the terms and conditions stated, indicating all the other necessary terms of sales for the buyer’s (offeree 受盘人)consideration and acceptance as well as the price of the goods he wishes to sell. The offer sent by a buyer is called a buying offer or bid. The offer sent by a seller is called a selling offer. Two kinds of offer: Firm offer / offer with engagement Non-firm offer / offer without engagement III. Background discussion A firm offer is sent when the offeror is ready to sign the contract as soon as the offeree agrees on his terms. A firm offer should state the following points clearly: Name of commodity, quality, specifications, quantity, packing , price, delivery date, and terms of payment.
