Based on the building research area prior knowledge ,this paper statisticed the spectral response character istics of the city construction land and the different types background obj ects ,and built the decision tree classification model and classification databas es based on the material spectral characteristics. After the image classification and the precision evaluation ,it could be know that the method could ex tract urban construction sites and information effectively and it had a higher classification accuracy and efficiency.
