How does it make you feel as the reader? 5) What figurative language is used? Kinds of Figurative Language simile: a comparison using “like” or “as” (My love is like a red, red rose.) metaphor: a comparison not using “like” or “as” (My boss is a tiger when I come to work late.) personification: giving a human characteristic to something nonhuman (The trees of the field will clap their hands.)
