When they returned to the bus, the girl sat with Vingo again. After a while, Vingo told the girl about his story with his slowly and painfully voice, Vingo had been in jail in New York for the past four years, and now he was going home. When he was in jail he wrote his wife that if it hurt her too much .His wife could just forget he ,and get a new gey. And if she could take him back ,she could put a yellow handkerchief on the oak tree where they had lived to let he know. The Brunswick was 20 miles ,10 miles, and then five. Then, suddenly, all of the young people were up out of their seats, screaming and shouting and crying, doing small dances of joy. All expect Vingo . Vingo sat there stunned , lookinging at the oak tree. It was covered with yellow handkerchiefs---20 of them ,30 of them ,maybe hundereds, a tree that stood like a banner of welcome billowing in the wind. After seeing it , Vingo slowly rose from his seat and made his way to the front of the bus to go home. The end. Then they have a hap- py life.
