T: Turn to page 21. Look at the four sentences in activity 1. There are some new words in them. Please look them up in your dictionary. Then match the sentences with the pictures.
After students finish it, check the answers. Then let students work in pairs and do some practice with these words. Ask them to cover the sentences and talk about the pictures in the following way:
A: What is the girl in picture a doing?
B: She is shouting.
A: What is the dog in picture b doing?
B: It is jumping down.
A: What is the boy in picture c doing?
B: He is scared.
A: What is the cat in picture d doing?
B: It is climbing a tree.
Or teacher can collect more pictures about these words and let students describe them with the new words.
Language points:
★be scared (某人)给吓坏了,害怕了
e.g. He was scared when he heard the strange voice.
★climb v. 攀登;爬 climb up the tree 爬树
e.g: The monkey is climbing the tree.
★jump v. 跳 jump up /down 跳上/跳下
e.g. The dog jumped down the tree.
★shout v. 呼喊 shout at /to
e.g. Don’t shout at the old man, it is not polite.
